2006 Illinois District Champion Quartet

Craig Ahlgrim, Bass (Tenor): Craig is the bass of Jukebox. Craig's importance to this quartet can be overstated. Joe Krones said, "Why, I remember the night we recruited him. One of us came up behind him and said "HEY!" He squealed a high 'E'" and we said, 'You're the tenor!' " This is Craig's first quartet championship...who'd have thunk it would be on tenor?!

Joe Krones, Bass (Lead): Joe is an Illinois District champ 3 times over on bass: Renaissance (1995), Bravo! (1998) and Cheers! (2001) and now once on Lead (2006). He is also the director of the West Towns Chorus. He is currently singing with Joe Connelly, Rick Taylor & Jack Pinto in Old School.

George Sotos, Bass (Bari): George is the bass of the 2003 Illinois District Champion quartet, Alchemy; and the bass of the 2005 2nd place Silver Medallist Senior's Quartet, Savoir Four. In real life, George is an associate judge in the DuPage County court system. That and he is also a cooking and baking whiz in his "off" hours is testament to his unflagging energy and rich Greek heritage.

Doug Smith, Bass (Bass): Doug won the paper, rock, scissors tournament allowing him to be the Bass of the all Bass quartet. Doug is the bass of the 2005 Illinois District Champion quartet, Skyline; and the bass of the 2003 2nd Place Silver Medallist quartet, Gym Class. This is Doug's 5th Illinois District championship.
