Terry Ludwig, WTC friend and supporter—and mentor extraordinaire to our director, Carrie—is beginning the long and arduous process of getting his voice back! Director of Sounds of Illinois Chorus in Bloomington, he has been battling a condition called Spasmodic Dysphonia, which causes spasms in his vocal folds and makes his voice sound like a very bad phone connection—it cuts in and out. Terry’s planned surgery at UCLA hopefully will alleviate this condition; however, the expenses are high.
In order to help Terry meet these expenses, several choruses and seven quartets will be performing at a fundraiser on Sunday, August 27, 1:00 p.m., at Bloomington Performing Arts Center (venue for several past Illinois District Conventions and Contests).
This is a show you won’t want to miss featuring:
Sound of Illinois Chorus
West Towns Chorus
New Tradition Chorus
The Committee
After Hours
And more!
